Lyrics for this song finally out. wooweee
Am I a toy to you?
With strings around my fingers,
for you to pull and watch as I collapsed when you want.
The coldest night to me, is a switch that you control.
Tip-toe around your words just to calm you down again.
There’s too many people that we both love
and too many secrets I don’t wanna know.
You’re still chasing him.
My saving grace is saving face.
Lost on the back burner.
Good for, good for you.
My saving grace is saving face.
I just sit and wait.
There’s always just enough of you to pull me back.
But I can see your eyes drifting past what you have.
I’m flagging down a ship when it’s on its way to sea.
The horn is blaring out, but I just don’t want to hear.
I never left you in a sandstorm.
I never left for a second at all.
You’re still chasing him.
My saving grace is saving face.
Lost on the back burner.
Good for, good for you.
My saving grace is saving face.
I just sit and wait.
I thought you were and angel, I guess you were a vulture.
Either way, spread your wings and just fly away. [x2]
You’re still chasing him.
My saving grace is saving face.
Lost on the back burner.
Good for, good for you.
My saving grace is saving face.
I just sit and wait.
I just sit and wait. (Spread your wings and fly away) [x4]

edukasi
it is undeniable that the lingua franca of the world right now is english. a medium of communication that is perhaps, arguably the most important tool a human can learn in order to effectively communicate and express him/herself. there is no doubt that the very essence of english or as a matter of fact, the very essence of language itself is to enable people to be able to willfully transmit in the best way, what is going on in their intricate minds.
now, one might think the purpose of an education is to enable members of a society, a state, and even a nation to be able to benefit from it. that is the basic and best advantage of having an education. one is taught how to think analytically and creatively, and progressively using their skill in expression to exchange ideas and ideals with people. this is an important part of the development of civilisation, as it is to be noted that civilisation is not the product of any one man, but the evolution of thinking, sharing and expressing.
the education system is said to be failing when there is a obvious similarity in thinking of the students undergoing that education system. the same can be said when there is an obvious flaw in the ability of the students to express and to give opinions. it can be postulated that spoon-feeding and an exceedingly unhealthy reliance on an exam based evaluation might play a part in the degeneration of a system of education. this postulation apparently proves to be true in the nation of malaysia.
a nation where national exams are made the 'make or break' benchmark for students, this allows for a situation where the student would try to 'make' it using whatever means possible. the result of this? a student that is learning often by memorising and not understanding, their ability to express rendered useless and replaced by their ability to memorize.
and the result of being not able to express efficiently? the students rapidly degenerate at language skills. this, a nation where students who are well into their tertiary education could not even form a simple sentence in english is utterly embarrassing as the language has been taught in schools since they were a child of 7. is this the way to go?
do not be mislead by the notion that this nation is full of morons as this is not true. in fact, malaysia has produced excellently capable individuals who have left their mark in time. this can yet again be proven by the fact that this year's top scorers for the cambridge A levels (worldwide) are malaysians. the background of their education is unclear, but rest assured that the educational facilities from which they hail from are not public, but private.
yet again, the product of the public education system cannot be written off as mere thrash as it does indeed proves to excel as can be seen particularly in certain STPM top scorers.
the real question is, where is the malaysian education system headed? to certain doom, or for the better? this remains to be seen. as a product of this very education system, i am of the opinion that this could still go both ways. drastic measures need to be taken for our future. we need to learn our lesson.

Rear-Guard
Book of Isiah, chapter 52, verse 12:
But you will not leave in haste
or go in flight;
for the Lord will go before you,
the God of Israel will be your rear-guard.
Thank You Lord, for Your word has brought me joy, courage and comfort in the fact that You will always be there, making sure my path is safe and to protect me against harm. I shall fear naught even though i may be confronted by difficulty, for by Your grace and grace alone, i will pull through.
Amen.
But you will not leave in haste
or go in flight;
for the Lord will go before you,
the God of Israel will be your rear-guard.
Thank You Lord, for Your word has brought me joy, courage and comfort in the fact that You will always be there, making sure my path is safe and to protect me against harm. I shall fear naught even though i may be confronted by difficulty, for by Your grace and grace alone, i will pull through.
Amen.
Carry You - Jimmy Eat World
as per title:
when i know i'm all alone
i say your name slowly and i know that i'm alone
but i carry you
does it feel good? like the memory?
when you try some history,
it's a dream to come around,
the rule doesnt bend because the taste dont taste the same again,
it's easy feeling righteous when removed
all you'll get is what you want to hear
it hurts because it should
how else am i to make it clear?
i could never be the one that you want, dont ask.
here's to living in the moment, cause it passed.
maybe a lie is what i need
sometimes you told the most, the best of anyone
you said to keep me in your pocket, so i carried you.
you better choose your words carefully
because im not your anything
going to stay here in my place and you'll stay in yours
because you're only good for what your good
for, i pace around the room to spend the time waiting
while the burning pictures fade
it's one thing to make your mind
and another to say its name
i could never be the one that you want, dont ask.
here's to living in the moment, cause it passed.
i'm still carrying a little hope that maybe,
things could be different now, is that so wrong? is that so wrong? is that so...wrong?
would i see you tonight, at a place we'd go
(could going through the motions, lead to real emotions)
i want to make things right, before time runs out
(it was like you said, the taste dont taste like it should)
roll down the windows
let the cold air come in
slap my face just to feel,
just to feel you somehow again
i could never be the one that you want, dont ask.
here's to living in the moment, because it passed.
it passed.
when i know i'm all alone

looksie what i gots.
went to get jimmy eat world's album today, and when i went there lo and behold there was mae's singularity sitting just beside it! mwahahaha double kill, godlike!
there was nothing much to shout about for mae's album, since i already gave it numerous listens (it's awesome but).
Jimmy Eat World, however scored big with their bonus track which was not included in the *coughleakedcough* version. the song, titled be sensible is freaking awesome.

crazy labour day long weekend
unrelated: [prelude]
yep, lack of updates again. i'm still recovering after a long labour day weekend. gosh.
started on friday evening when i went down to parramatta for youthopea. sculled a whole 375ml can of coke in 1 shot. that made my stomach feel like exploding man. mucked around after youthopea, fooling with the skateboard n some friends. got back at around 1-ish and went to bed at around 3am =]
on saturday, woke up at 8, went for a 5km beach walk at bondi. had hurricane's pork ribs n portuguese chicken. heaven. also tried fried mars bar...that shit is so good it's bad. then headed to maroubra beach for a swim. went to jim's 22nd bday after the beach at hog's breath. got back at around 11, went online n slept at 2.
on sunday, this 1 is crazy. woke up at 8 again, went to church, had italian for lunch. it was so good. and then went to had a haircut at eastwood. then headed back to ourimbah to change n get ready. after that, made a trip back down to darling harbour for GODSKITCHEN 2007. the event was held at Home. the biggest club in sydney, new south wales and some say australia.
godskitchen featured dj's such as Rank1, M.I.K.E, the thrillseekers, Richard Durand, and Alex Gaudino among others.
well, Salman and I went in at 11, and from then on it was madness till 5am. the whole event was actually from 9pm til 6am.
after that, crashed at salman's place at 6.30 til 10. (yup crazy eh, and i did it all without the help of redbull, just a couple smirnoffs and a fag)
Got to hornsby at around 11.30 to meet cheah for a movie and lunch and was out in chatswood til about 8pm. took a train at 9 and got home at bout 11...went online til 2am, i dont know why and finally crashed til 3pm on monday. am currently still recovering.
