monday and setapak

So cheong, pinky and i went to setapak the other day, monday to be exact. The plan was to slip into cheong's lecture and walk around as i have never been to setapak before. Yea la, i know i'm damn jakun ok...people holiday wanna stay as far to any form of work as possible, me? i fucking find a lecture to slip into. Well, i do admit i participate in those lessons for all the wrong reasons though. =P

So anyway...the econs (or was it management? ahh fuck it la) lecture was interesting. Concepts were pretty simply put forward and very understandable. But it was heck of a boring lecture though. We escaped the place midway through the lecture and went on a tour around TARC, and then to find some old high school friends, Leong and Tiang. Great to see them after so long. Leong didnt change much, but Tiang has long hair now. He's like me already...no money cut hair.

So after chatting a while, we went for some food. They said cafeteria food was inedible so we went to a place nearby...i had nasi lemak power ranger. I must confess that shit was pretty good. Went for a game of dota at the cc nearby after that. Got tapau-ed as usual. haahaha

And then after cc, we dropped by at pinky's university. UTM. That joker didnt know where his results were posted so we had to climb all the way to the 4th floor and back down. Went to his lecturer's office, she wasn't in..i'm suspecting she's "stealing some chickens" =P. We then went to the library for some lengthy discussion about the agenda for the rest of the day. Initially, the plan was to watch some movie in some place nearby, like KLCC...but then that was pretty boring so someone suggested we go to Genting..well, that sounded interesting. And then out of nowhere, Ipoh came up..WTF..I was pretty tempted to go all the way up there, actually. I kinda miss the white coffee and taugeh chicken and custard and shredded chicken hor fun. Yummy. The sad thing was that we were kinda out of time. By the time discussions drew to an end it was already about 3pm, so by the time we reach it would be about 5-6, and by that time it would be abit too late for teatime. Teatime is primetime for white coffee. Therefore we abandoned Ipoh for our plan B. Genting.

The whole thing was pretty crazy actually. Everything was decided on the spot. My SLK wasn't warned of the whole climb, but the journey went along smoothly. SLK didnt roll back down the hill and i thank God for that. So we drove all the way to the cable car station and then proceeded on to the top with a cable car. The ride was decent. The cable car in Langkawi beat it hands down though.

It was so damn cool at the top man! as in literally cool. It's so darn nice i didn't want to come back down. We walked around and acted as jakuns..well, i did anyway...it was like so long since i last went up there. That place really did change quite a bit. We also paid the starbucks there a visit. Let's just say Caramel Hot Chocolate with whipped cream consumed there feels like heaven. (thanks for the hot choc again Lisa! :D)

ahh i'm getting lazy. So what happened after that..we took the cable car back down and drove (drifted?) back down. wahaha. Also had a sorta race with a kembara back to KL. That bugger overtook me at Setapak, damnit. I was leading all the way. Anyways, our next destination was Petaling Street for some Asam Laksa...wee...another delicacy i've never had the priviledge to taste in a long long time.

Was so dead tired after that we abandoned plans for mamak and dota :P I went back and didn't gain consciousness until the next morning...or was it afternoon? Great trip guys! we should do more stuff like this. Malacca next destination? or maybe Ipoh?

(p.s: I did not check out girls jas!!! >.< if you're somehow reading this :P)

Kind Hearts and Coronets

In view of my current holidays, i have been consistently watching at least one movie per day. One may call it boredom, and i shall agree. XD

One of the gems i have stumbled upon during one of my search expeditions on imdb and isohunt is the movie duly titled "Kind Hearts and Coronets"

Warning: spoilers ahead. please slow down at the curb and stop at the red light.

This is truly a great movie befitting of it's reputation of being one of britains top 100 best movies ever made. It's cast comprises of stars of the days of old, including Dennis Price, Valerie Hobson, Joan Greenwood and the very very talented Sir Alec Guinness ( OBI-WAN KENOBI BEBEH!!)

Released in 1949 (darn old i know), this movie revolves around this guy by the name of Louis Mazzini (Price) whose mother hails from a noble family but was ostracised following her decision of eloping with an Italian opera singer, who died shortly thereafter having witnessed his son's birth. Being unrightfully denied his birthright, Mazzini aims to claim succession to the title of Duke of Chalfont by knocking off family members who are in line before him. There are 8 of them (believe it or not, all 8 are played by Guinness) and Mazzini manages to put to sleep 6 of the family members. 1 died of natural causes, while the other who was a captain decided to go down with his sinking ship...a cunning twist to the storyline follows his brief succession to the title (lol sorry for the spoiler) which involves...on second thoughts i'm not going to spoil that...but it involves him being in deep shit by the end of the movie.

All in all, this movie is a great example of fine British humour, dark and dry. I find it hilarious though. Sir Alec Guinness really stole the limelight with his fine potrayal of multiple characters. Highly recommended! Great acting all in all, and this is how movies should be made!

F/A-22 Raptor

Okay i officially wanna work at Lockheed Martin when i grow up. This company is one of the military contractors which is currently developing one of the hottest fighter planes on the face of this planet.

the F/A-22 Raptor.

This plane is a fighter/attack plane which means that it could be utilised for dogfights in the air and also for bombing targets on the ground. Which, probably means deep shit for the enemy.

Designed to be unnoticable at long range, the body of the raptor is made to deflect radar signals, which employs a wide arraw of saw-tooth edges and and curved surfaces. It is also designed to improve air maneuverability. On a radar, the Raptor would appear to be as small as a bee. Untrackable. Sweet. You won't know what hit you, until it hits you, which would by then be probably too late.

With Dual Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 engines capable of supercruise and thrust vectoring, the Raptor can move to a Speed of mach 1.8 (mach 1.5 w/o afterburner) which is about 612.5 m/s. Crazy? It is also more fuel efficient than any other fighter planes, which means it can travel longer without refuelling...which means it can reach a target attack faster than any other plane out there.

Artillery:
six radar-guided AIM-120C medium-range air-to-air missiles [Fuselage]

two heat-seeking AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles.

M61A2-20mm multibarrel cannon ....and this is only for air combat....

ROBOTECH, anyone ?

New Istana Negara.

"A new RM400mil palace complex will be built in Jalan Duta to replace the Istana Negara that has been used since 1928.

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said work on the new Istana Negara, to be built on a 96.52ha site atop a hill, will start next June and was slated for completion in 2009.

“We need a new palace with bigger space. Currently, the Balai Rong Seri of Istana Negara is also used as dining and meeting rooms. One room for multiple use is just inadequate,” he said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the palace project at Jalan Duta here yesterday.

The ceremony was launched by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Cabinet members were also present.

Samy Vellu said the new Istana Negara, steeped in Islamic and Malay architectural designs, had been on the drawing board nine months ago.

“It will not be the largest palace as there are larger ones around but will be one suitable for a country like Malaysia,” he added.

He said the fate of the present Istana Negara would be determined by the Prime Minister’s Department. It is learnt it had been proposed as a royal museum.

Kumpulan Seni Reka Sdn Bhd has been appointed the architect for the new palace and Maya Maju Sdn Bhd as the building contractor.

Samy Vellu said the site for the new palace had been gazetted for the purpose 30 years ago.

In his briefing to the King, Public Works Department director-general Dr Amer Hamzah Mohd Yunus said only 28ha would be developed into the new Istana Negara complex while the rest would be a garden area.

“The existing forest will also be retained as a security zone. The forest reserve will developed into a garden and will be opened to the public for recreational purposes,” he said, referring to a request from the King that a garden be developed for the public.

The new Istana Negara complex will comprise the palace building, supporting buildings, housing for palace staff, police, security office, mini army camp and a double-storey entrance from Jalan Duta and a parking area.

The complex will have a floor area of 75,000sq metres, excluding the parking area, and will be divided into four wings.

The site of the present Istana Negara in Jalan Istana here used to be home to a millionaire named Chan Wing in 1928.

After the Japanese occupation, it was converted into a palace for the Sultan of Selangor until 1957, when the federal government took over and turned it into Istana Negara."

Wow...What can i say...RM400m of taxpayers' money going to a building which not only will not benefit the country's economy, it will also take up a huge amount of land in Jalan Duta, KL which could be developed for other purposes.

This project is so totally useless, i don't understand how it could have gained approval from the parliament...if approval was even sought.

Furthermore, the current Istana was proposed to be turned into a national museum...walaoeh WTF man...dont we have a national museum already? we dont need another one. What are they gona put in it anyway? bigfoot?! XD

A waste, a waste i say! RM400m is a freakin huge amount and this is a freakin stupid way to spend it!!

but the fact that the current Istana was actually owned by a chinese businessman came as a surprise to me...wow, i didnt know that. cooooool...

funny news, funny excuse

There was this recent blunder made by the staff of the Penang Municipal council where one of them controlling the CCTV at an official function used the RM500k equipment to zoom in on women's thighs -women journalists' thighs to be specifc- instead of the official proceedings.

WTF...and the excuse of the staff when being caught red handed, ready to tfk (ok i'm making this up) was:

"errr, ini CCTV i tak boleh control punya la...memang majiam tu punya".

Above statement was such a crappy and lame excuse, it was immediately proven null by some badass engineers who proved that the CCTV can be freely maneuvred (duhh of cos can la, RM500k u know) without much hassle. I'm beginning to suspect that PMC ppl are a bunch of baboons high on crack.

WTF number 2...and instead of taking action on that stupid mofo, Penang Municipal Council president Datuk Abu Bakar Hassan had this to say:

“The issue is the sexy dress of the journalist. If it was not sexy, it would not have happened."

Wakao...and now they're blaming it on the women...is this jahilliah or not man...please la...control your equipment and "equipment" properly la...I'm starting to believe that their "equipment" takes primary control of their actions instead of their brain (which is on shutdown mode most of the time) . And what's worse, the woman journalist wasn't wearing anything sexy or revealing at all, just a knee length skirt and a long sleeved shirt.

WTF number 3...and when being shot by numerous action groups, the press, and women's rights groups, Mister Datuk Abu Bakar had this to say:

“Kita adalah orang yang bertamadun manakala, mereka-mereka yang bukan beragama adalah di belakang kita.”

hahahahahaahah WTF number 4!...
number 1: he still dare bring religion into the picture after such a shameful deed done by no other than members of his own religion.
number 2: he still dare mention bertamadun which is like the biggest bullshit in the history of mankind. hello, using CCTV during a formal function to zoom in on women's thighs is dam bertamadun la now...walaoehh...
number 3: he still dare mention "di belakang kita"...hmm maybe we should use CCTV to zoom in on women's thighs oso la...we are di belakang mereka now, must catch up lar /sarcasm

This statement is contradictory to our "Bangsa Malaysia" ideals which according to Mr. Najib "does not discriminate based on skin colour, race or religion"...wow...very touching...his next sentence however is the biggest oxymoron in the history of the universe: "It does not question the special rights of the Malays, our quota or anything of that sort." This statement left me breathless as i rolled on the floor laughing and having seizures. Such contradiction...the cheek...such...insufficiency of intelligence...

Now I'm pretty sure that most of the people running our country are a bunch of baboons high on crack.

WTF number 5!

deepavali yeh

So, yesterday was deepavali. Went to Vishnu's house and had some steamy mutton curry. Totally rocked our socks. Me, dav and shyr jinn went in a car and met with jason and aaron who were already there. Jason n aaron left for 1u after the curry.

Our stomachs were still burning when vishnu brought on the beers. It became worse after the beer. We had a puny 2 cans each and our stomachs felt like exploding with hot larva, it was that orgasmic. Shyr jinn nearly passed out. conclusion, mutton curry and beer...they make a hot couple. And both cant be avoided on deepavali, the festival of drinking...or so as vishnu puts it.

Went to 1u to walk off the alchohol and the tugging at our bellies after that. Picked up FHM nov issue on the way with the special 'girl next door' lil red booklet tucked in the middle. Now why on earth arent those honeys MY girls next door? It isn't fair i tell ya. In fact, there are no honeys in a 5km radius from my doorstep. It is that bad.

Oh, and my birthday was on Oct18 the other day. It was absolutelay explosively rocking. Got surprised in McD by the gang (love ya all) and had another dinner when i got home. My stomach was pushed to the limit. again.

So im aiming to gain a few kgs in sync with this deeparaya festive season. It is very convenient with all these rocking food around. Nice excuse to splash more on food too ^.^

balls going cheap!

Quoted from Yahoo!.com

'The NBA's old leather balls are being replaced this season by a microfiber composite model, the league's first change in 35 years. O'Neal blasted the ball Monday, criticizing not only the product, but whoever was involved in the decision'

wuahaha...NBA changing to new balls...but it seems like they're changing to a stickier version. This should make the games more interesting in the coming weeks. Expect to see blunders. heh heh.
The new microfibre ball has already been flamed by Shaq, Nash and Dwayne Wade. Way to go :/

hurry hurry go buy leather balls! lelong lelong!!

Holiwood Holiday - Love Me Butch

'The freak show just goes on and on.

Kisame is a blue skinned shark man with freakin' gills in his face, Zetsu is a two-toned, scizophrenic cannabal inside a venus flytrap, Sasori was a puppet boy, Deidara has mouths, replete with tongues, in his palms, Hidan treats being decapitated as an annoyance and is a voodoo doll, and now Kakuzu is apparently made of out big wierd extend-o cords. And of course we had Oro, with his freakish tongue and neck, oral rebirth and 'I'm made of snakes' jutsus.

Itachi is the only one even vaguely passing for normal here. And considering the fact he's a genocidal nutcase who can shoot illusions and enternal fire and fuck knows what else out of his eyes, that's saying something.

There might be Tobi, but he's an unknown at this point. I'm willing to bet he's a freak too. Like his face is made of brie or something.

Moral is, if you want to be a super S class criminal, you have to be a total freak of nature. Christ knows what unholy wierdness the AL and Blue Haired Lady will have at thier disposal.'

call me beng. ahbeng.

In honour of my recently acquired ahbeng hairstyle (by accident, mind you) , i shall thereby post an ahbeng joke.

Ah Seng, Ah Beng, and Ah Heng were at a convention together and were sharing a large suite at the top of a 75-storey skyscraper.

After a long day of meetings, they were shocked to hear that the lifts in the hotel had broken down and they would have to climb 75 flights of stairs to get to their room.

.

Ah Seng said to Ah Beng and Ah Heng: 'Let's break the monotony of this unpleasant task by concentrating on something interesting.

'I'll tell jokes for 25 flights, and Ah Heng can sing songs for 25 flights, and Ah Beng can tell sad stories the rest of the way.'

At the 26th floor, Ah Seng stopped telling jokes and Ah Heng began to sing.

At the 51st floor, Ah Heng stopped singing and Ah Beng began to tell sad stories.

'I will tell my saddest story first,' he said.

.

.

'Actually hor, I left the room key in the car...'

.

p.s: oh and i got my first ear piercing, and now i think i'm addicted.

p.p.s: it's still beng no matter what u say peks!! :P heee

Things Aren't So Beautiful Now

A Thorn For Every Heart
Things Aren't So Beautiful Now (Part 2)

Scene begins as a telephone rings.
Chokes a gasp at the awful news it brings.
A phone call she's been avoiding.
She knows he's reached the end.

Hooked up to the respirator.
It breaths life into my callused lungs.
My heart beats getting fainter.
I know my time has come.

It's getting colder
been trying to show her
that I'm not the one
to be there beside her now
I'm crossing over
can no one console her
alone she'll remain
with no way to end this pain.

Now I realize the things that I
(All of the things that I wanted in this world)
the things I have done to you
(What have I done to you)
why you gave your love with all your heart.
(Hands went way to fast)
With all that a heart could give.

Intentions that you'll never know
the reason why I have to lead astray
I gave you a life time of pain and remorse
(Mistakes that were never yours)
the wrong in my life can never be right.
(It flashes before my eyes)

(How did he come to this,
His mind is working harder than ever before.
Thousands of thoughts in seconds.
His last thoughts were of her,
and how he and he alone had destroyed the once
vibrant spirit he had inherited so deeply.
The last pain he had ever caused is to the only
woman that had ever loved him...)

Bright light is calling me upward.
(A ghost for now)
I follow and leave you below
Now you're all alone.
And I leave you with nobody by your side.
Not to hurt you ever again
Never break your spirit for me.
Now I'm all alone.
Still cherish the things that you have given to me.
Bright light is calling me upward
I follow and leave you below
Now

one of the most emo songs i've heard with meaningful lyrics. i reli love this song cos i can relate to it. kinda like my situation as of now...the difference is, i dont know if i should let go.....

ATFEH Rocks hard!!

...to show who i really am fond of?

What will u feel like, being entrapped in a dark room? With no help, no company and no way to get out. Waiting...silently waiting for an answer, praying for a saviour. Brain racing, looking for a way out. You do not know what will happen to u. Silently, u wish that this is all a joke...a prank being pulled by your friends, and this will all end in laughter and fun, but no in a dark corner of your mind, u know that every bit of it is reality.

Have you ever felt like that? a sense of hopelessness and anguish, wrought by events out of your control, violently sending you fumbling in a deep abyss of mental pain and suffering. Somehow, u will feel like u had a part in all this. You could have controlled it, played your deck right and win the game. But no, u did nothing instead and in the end, u end up in this cursed room, made specially to bring pain unto you. The course of human life, entangled with emotions and musings will sometimes lead u to a situation similar to this, it happens naturally to everyone. It is because each and every one of us have feelings, brought upon by emotions which are often not in our control. And if this is what it feels like to have emotions, i would rather have no part in it. Isn't it great to have no emotions? living your life without ever needing to worry about getting hurt or tormented. No debates with yourself, no analysing situations, no need to please anyone, no need to think of consequences, no need to care about your reputation, no need to love. How i wish life were like a rose without thorns. But the opposite is always true, no matter how u run away, it will come back, chasing u like a pack of hounds hungry for your blood, bringing you down and consuming you like a blazing fire. Thou shall not escape. This is life, and no more shall i find humour in ye. The only solace i shall find in this ever raging thunderstorm is in the form of escapism, laughter to hide sorrow, company to bring laughter, like a drug for me to forget. But alas, the hounds await.

Why can't i not use a mask to hide my feelings? Why can't i just show my true self, to show who i really am fond of? Why do i run away, acting like a coward, when i know i have every bit of what it takes to win? Shall i let go? Is there no hope left? Oh how i wish i can read minds...

The truth hurts, and it is as they say, truly blissful to be ignorant. In the end, i am still trapped in this cold dark room, left alone to suffer the consequences of my folly. Oh Lord save me, bring me out of my suffering...

Save me.......

Little Man and how i liked it....

So this is the movie i watched yesterday with SheaLeen. Had a pleasant encounter with KatYee as well. Didnt wanna do it at 1st cos it seemed stupid and uninterestesting. Well, i was wrong. This movie is hilarious.
.
It's about a diamond thief (Marlon Wayans) who just got out of the slammer and is up for another job, which is to steal a diamond for a mafia boss (the nokia commercial mafia dude). Well, the job was a blunder and the diamond ended up in the handbag of the wife of Shawn Wayans, i forgot his name. So this midget dude posed as a baby to get into her house to retrieve the diamond. Friggin funny can? imagine a gangsta midget posing as a baby.
.
And now can someone tell me how on earth they made Marlon Wayans so small? heck i know its gotta be CGI but how the heck?! oh and spoiler, this midget has a member of a prawn star XD looks like they shrunk his body but not a certain organ :P
