clouds

They say every cloud has a silver lining. As a child, i always wonder what that meant. Silver lining? but clouds are white in colour! how absurd! and with this reasoning, i left the matter at rest, for a few years.

As i was travelling on the train a few days back, on a fine and sunny day, my sight fell upon the the sky outside. What greeted me was a few clouds, glowing magnificently in the afternoon sun, and what i realised there and then, was that it was true. each and every cloud in the sky does have a silver lining afterall.

Humans are, in that sense similar to clouds. Each and everyone of us has a silver lining, a moment of splendour, a beautiful side of us, glowing brightly in the presence of the sun. And although the middle may seem gloomy and dull, comfort should be taken in the knowledge that there will always be this silver lining.

It also brought me to a realisation that we, as do clouds, need the sun. The sun which brings out the best in us. The sun of which light we reflect to give off a beautiful glow. To some, the sun may be a person, to others, maybe an object. To me, it is my Lord

blogger clampdown

in accordance to some of the arguments made by certain ministers in the parliament of malaysia regarding bloggers, "Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri said the government would be taking legal action against bloggers who flagrantly belittled Islam or the Yang di Pertuan Agong."

He also stressed about his worries on the "troubling growth" of irresposible alternative media. Due to many events of which some lead to the arrest and trial of certain malaysian bloggers due to seemingly trivial circumstances, the level freedom of speech in malaysia, a democratic country is in doubt. With ministers also declaring that the nation is islamic instead of secular, we can only wonder how long until investors flee the country.

being the rebel that i am, i shall now say that the YDP ahkong, is a waste of national resources to maintain, and that the position holds no advantage to the state of the country either...it's like employing a sleeping CEO in a corporation. I do not wish to further flame the religion of which the YDP is associated with for fear of my home being bombed by terrorists.

and yes, one can imagine me sticking out my tongue, with one hand making silly faces and the other showing the middle finger to our dear beloved ministers. maybe u can come get me during your private vacation down under which i'm sure are funded by taxpayers, Mr. Lah

rainy rainy

turns out that...
it was a rainy, uneventful day for benjamin.
The person
whom he was talking to suggested a walk, he said "u know, it's weird
that i thought i like
rainy days, but now i think that sunny days are much better!". This
is the person that i
thought was one of those moody, dull people. So i guess u can never really judge a book by it's cover aye. rainy days are what i, too
never ever liked. Period.

no suitable title

cos im just popping in to say, decepticons rule!

and that some things, may and will change regardless of how u feel about it...the feeling is like falling down a cliff with nothing but grass to hold on to...u just can't put a stop to it and say "enough! stop it already!"

although sometimes u still wonder whether the changes are done by your own hands or by external factors which are often uncontrollable, it is foolish and i know it is to try and mend things. sometimes, it's just not meant to be mended, sometimes, you need to put a stop to it, and sometimes, you need to find your way out...i have, and i will do it again.

end of the world

current song addiction: end of the world - armor for sleep.

excerpt from lyrics:

Everything around you, is gonna turn into,
The biggest pile of ashes,
That you could ever imagine.

Everything around you is gonna turn into,
The biggest pile of nothingness.
So keep on running, keep on running.

I wanna stay at home for the end of the world,
Falling asleep when they're dropping the bomb
This is all a dream,
Thats what I'll be singing.

cant stop listening to it now...can totally imagine it as a decepticon song...woohoo

ice skating, i still can't do the skidding type of brake..dangggg

and..wow feels good to be able to help people out...its been a while since i've had that feeling, especially events leading that made it seem like i'm there really for a reason, circumstances that made helping so easy...

dont feel like writing much...sien...australia sucks...release yellowcard so late, and no rooney yet...shiat...

random excerpt from kill - jimmy eat world:
Oh God, please don't tell me this has been in vain (vain)
I need answers for what all the waiting I've done means (means)
You kill me, you've got some nerve, but can't face your mistakes (hey hey, hey hey)
I know what I should do, but I just can't turn away

23

23 - Jimmy Eat World

I felt for sure last night
That once we said goodbye
No one else will know these lonely dreams
No one else will know that part of me
I'm still driving away
And I'm sorry every day
I won't always love these selfish things
I won't always live...
Not stopping...

It was my turn to decide
I knew this was our time
No one else will have me like you do
No one else will have me, only you

You'll sit alone forever
If you wait for the right time
What are you hoping for?
I'm here I'm now I'm ready
Holding on tight
Don't give away the end
The one thing that stays mine

Amazing still it seems
I'll be 23
I won't always love what I'll never have
I won't always live in my regrets

You'll sit alone forever
If you wait for the right time
What are you hoping for?
I'm here I'm now I'm ready
Holding on tight
Don't give away the end
The one thing that stays mine

You'll sit alone forever
If you wait for the right time
What are you hoping for?
I'm here I'm now I'm ready
Holding on tight
Don't give away the end
The one thing that stays mine...

ever had the feeling where something big just happened...something important...something of significance...you're happy, very contented, felt at peace for that moment

and then...like an anchor, a rock tied to your feet, the whole weight of the situation sets in...

you then realise that u may not have made the best move...someone may have suffered in return for that joy u were having...guilt then sets in...you wonder what to do next...and you ponder on the possibility that you are not alone in this...

for a moment, just a second, i hope you give me a piece of your mind...for my understanding...

pictars

time

time, like a drop of water shining brilliantly under the glow of the sun
brilliant and magical for a moment, ordinary the next as it integrates into the flowing river that is time, stopping for none. For as we have an enjoyable moment, it seems to flow faster, like torrents down a waterfall, releasing misty droplets that form rainbows under the afternoon sun.
It could also move along calmly, slowly, beautiful and serene, peaceful with every moment we take to stoop down and smell the roses.

Time, once gone forever gone...that is what makes memories so precious.

and precious indeed is the time spent in Katoomba, Blue Mountains.

lazy upload pictars, maybe later :p

p.s: i am now once again a free man, after the freakin exams, now time to relaaxxx. boy do i enjoy taking hiatuses

friday, May 25th 2007

yep, today marks the 1st time i've earned money in australia! whoopeedoo....although it was just a meager sum of $50.

what did it serve to remind me though, was how hard it is to earn money...

what am i working as? haha i'm being a kitchen slave for thai ourimbah...my job's to clean the dishes and do some washing up. it's no easy task though...

the job details may sound simple and easy but that's just what meets the eye...
i work on fridays and saturdays from 6pm until the restaurant closes. the restaurant stops taking orders at 9pm, and then is when the torments starts...once the restaurant stops taking orders, i'll have one huge shitload of plates, bowls, pots, and utensils to wash...

we're all only allowed to leave after cleaning up...but oh well, i earn 50 bucks a night for that, and that means 100 bucks a week...which means 400 bucks a month...which is equal to about RM1.2k..not such a bad sum after converting eh?

and that is even more than what i earned working in fucking billion in form 4...that time i only earned about RM500+ - 600 for a full day job, 11am to 9 fucking pm...talk about exploitation in malaysia -__-''

ohh yeah, it almost slipped my mind...i get free dinner as well! now that's what i call ' will work for food' :p

Acquaintances

It is only fair to assume that sooner or later, there will be acquaintances of mine who would stumble upon this blog, either with the knowledge of the identity of the author, or not. For those who found this blog and know who i am, welcome.

for this will be the place that i write whatever i want to, whenever i dont have writer's block.

this will also be a place where i sometimes write about musings from the bottom of my heart.

this will be a place of no censorship whatsoever. in other words, i dont care who reads this, im not going to bother being politically correct.

and really, there aren't supposed to be any who are aware of the existence of this :)

Mother's Appreciation Day

The day this year falls on the 13th of May, which falls on a Sunday. A day which people spend with their mothers in appreciation of all the sacrifices and hardships faced in bringing them up. Regretfully, i am unable to celebrate this day together with my mum this year. If given the chance, i would really like to bring my mum out to breakfast and then maybe a movie and some shopping. It's ironic that i didn't do any of those when i had to chance to, funny that i only think about doing such things for her when i am far away and unable to. I guess it is true that people only appreciate things more when they are deprived of it.

To cherish her more, it is only appropriate that i fulfill my role as a filial son, and that comes with maturity and responsibility. With that, everyday can be mother's day...I'll do my best.

I have the best mother in the world, and i love her dearly.

i'm a mummy's boy :D

biscuits dipped in coffee

the scent of coffee seems to be able to soothe me. it has a kind of therapeutic effect which will kinda calm me down n let me stop and smell the roses for a while. it's kinda bad though at the rate which i consume the beverage, i'll become a caffeine addict in no time. thank god it doesnt seem to affect my ability to go to sleep =3

having a mug of hot coffee in cold weather seems to make it's effect on me much more profound. I had my coffee abit differently today, rather than simply sipping and enjoying the scent and deliciously bitter taste of my cuppa, i dipped biscuits in it...arrowroot biscuits to be more exact and it was awesome...

the coffee made the biscuit softer...just the right mouthfeel if u dont dip it in too long, or else it'll get soggy. the outer portion of the biscuit also tasted like coffee, the scent and the taste...

last time when i was a kid, i used to observe my father during breakfast on sunday mornings or supper. he always dipped his biscuits in his hot milo or coffee. back then, i thought it was a gross way of eating. i mean, not only will u make the biscuit look awful, it'll spoil the taste of the drink! talk about being young and dumb eh...here i am enjoying this method of eating biscuits now. i wont be able to see him eat like that for some time now. those days of being a child...are sadly gone...but i look forward to having breakfast with dad again.

yep, i miss him allright.

dad's birthday is on may the 13th! coming soon~

minit-minit ke tengah malam

juz got the new linkin park album by the name minutes to midnight.

the verdict?

i lurve it!

it sounds so much different from hybrid theory and meteora, and fans are bashing them because of it. well then, it was all done in the name of 'growth' eyh...one man's meat can be another's poison, so we can expect a whole new fanbase for them after this album. =D

i reckon this album would appeal more towards fans of emo music.

fav: all the ballads and what i've done =3

Signal Fire - Snow Patrol

The perfect words never crossed my mind,
'cause there was nothing in there but you,
I felt every ounce of me screaming out,
But the sound was trapped deep in me,
All I wanted just spin right past me,
While I was rooted fast to the earth,
I could be stuck here for a thousand years,
Without your arms to drag me out,

There you are standing right in front of me (x2)
All this here falls away to leave me naked,
Hold me close cause I need you to guide me to safety

No I wont wait forever (x2)

In the confusion and the aftermath,
You are my signal fire,
The only resolution and the only joy,
Is the faint spark of forgiveness in your eyes,

There you are standing right in front of me (x2)
All this here falls away to leave me naked,
Hold me close cause I need you to guide me to safety,

There you are standing right in front of me (x2)
All this here falls away to leave me naked,
Hold me close cause I need you to guide me to safety,

No I wont wait forever

No I wont wait forever

No I wont wait forever

nice song....totally blew me off...sounds good played loud :D

Whistle For The Choir - The Fratellis

Well it's a big big city and it's always the same
Can never be too pretty tell me you your name
Is it out of line if I was to be bold and say "Would you be mine"?

Because I may be a beggar and you maybe the queen
I know I maybe on a downer am still ready to dream
Now it's 3 o'clock the time is just the time it takes for you to talk

So if you're lonely why'd you say your not lonely
Oh your a silly girl, I know I hurt it so
It's just like you to come
And go and know me no you don't even know me
Your so sweet to try, oh my, you caught my eye
A girl like you's just irresistible

Well it's a big big city and the lights are all out
But it's much as I can do you know to figure you out
And I must confess, my hearts in broken pieces
And my heads a mess
And it's 4 in the morning, and I'm walking along
Beside the ghost of every drinker here who has ever done wrong
And it's you, woo hoo
That's got me going crazy for the things you do

So if you're crazy I don't care you amaze me
Oh your a stupid girl, oh me, oh my, you talk
I die, you smile, you laugh, I cry

And only, a girl like you could be lonely
And it's a crying shame, if you would think the same
A boy like me's just irresistible

So if your lonely, why'd you say you're not lonely
Oh your a silly girl, I know I hurt it so
It's just like you to come and go
And know me, no you don't even know me
Your so sweet to try oh my, you caught my eye
A girl like you's just irresistible

the song currently stuck in my head...
my fav line would be
' Is it out of line if I was to be bold and say "Would you be mine"?'
